Howdy!
This time I created with my friend Ann at her river house. Nice place! Here's our view for the day:
Yes, it was beautiful and sunny all day long. Very inspiring!
I played with some of the goodies I had picked up at the rubber stamp convention the previous weekend.
I picked up some of the new Kite Stencils by JudiKins (starting on page 3) and had fun using Distress Inks and stipple brushes on white glossy card stock. Check out the top two card fronts:
And the bottom three backgrounds? Oh that's some new drooly stuff I got at the JudiKinds booth! Splash Ink is soooo fun! The top two were made by dropping Splash Ink colors on the non-stick craft sheet, misting with water then smearing the white glossy card stock through the color, just like Tim Holtz's wrinkle free distress technique. Ooooh! Pretty! I misted again and dragged the watercolor paper through for the bottom sample.
The above watercolor postcard was made by mixing colors on the non-stick craft sheet then just brushing the color on. Easy peasy! I did dilute the colors to create a better background colors then stamped with Archival Jet Black and Plum. Lovin' that Plum!
I made this complete card for the man. The background is more of the Kite Stencils. The circle stencil is Microbial by Crafters Workshop. I used Distress Inks and stipple brushes on glossy card stock here too. The phrase "I am currently unsupervised... the possibilities are endless!!" was stamped on another watercolor Splash Ink background I'd made. The phrase is the Dylusions stamp set Say How it Is by Stampers Anonymous.
Thanks for a fun, creative day, Ann! I was quite productive and had a great time!

You are welcome, Lisa. I'm glad you had a fun time. We will need to plan another play day soon.
